Our School Logo describes what St, Anthony’s School does, stands for and values the most.


SABS: The acronym ‘SABS’ stands for St. Anthony’s Boys’ School


Open Book
: The ‘open book” denotes the leaming that we strive to impart to our pupils and

symbolizes the first of the three-word motto- “to learn.”


Open Hands
: The “open hands’ or the ‘serving hands’ signify readiness, caring, hospitality,

generosity, turning to God in prayer and they represent the second word of our three-word

molto- “to serve” (God and Man).


Wings
: The ‘wings’ are symbolic of freedom, movement, dreams, aspirations and they

characterize the third word of our three-word motto – “to shine.”


The Cross
: The ‘Cross’ on the school building denotes that SABS is a Christian Minority

Institution.


1922
: The figure “1922′ indicates the year of establishment.

Motto Description


The motto of St. Anthony’s Boys’ School is, “To Learn, To Serve, To Shine,”in short, ‘Leam, 
Serve, Shine.’ They encapsulate the beliefs, values and the ideals for which SABS stands and strives for. In St. Anthony’s Boys’ School, we impart learning, This learning is not for self-keeping or safe-keeping. It should enable and empower the students to serve God, neighbors (the society) and the nation. It is through learning and serving that we shine or fly high. That, in short, is the meaning of the triple-word motto of our school – ‘Learn, Serve, Shine.”
